Nutella Advent Calendar
£39.99
The Nutella Advent Calendar 2026 is an XXL jar-shaped box in a red knitted-jumper print, with 20 edible treats and 4 keepsakes behind its 24 doors: 7 mini spread portions, 7 B-happy wafer bars, 4 biscuit packs and 2 &Go! pots (528g in all), plus a card game, socks, a mini-jar bauble and the new heart-clip photo holder. No pralines, no filled chocolates, just hazelnut-cocoa, four ways. One for Nutella fans and families who’ll keep the extras, not for anyone after a mixed chocolate countdown.
Nutella Advent Calendar 2026: 20 treats and 4 keepsakes behind 24 doors
The Nutella Advent Calendar 2026 comes as an XXL box shaped like a giant Nutella jar, wrapped in a red knitted Christmas-jumper print. Behind its 24 doors sit 20 edible treats and 4 keepsakes you hang on to, so it sits somewhere between a snacking calendar and a fan box rather than a straight chocolate one.
Ferrero has kept the eating side exactly as it was last year and put its one new idea into a keepsake: a heart-clip photo holder, the only genuinely new item for 2026. If you came for pralines or filled chocolates, this isn’t that. It’s the hazelnut-cocoa spread taken apart into portioned formats, plus a few things to keep.
What’s inside the Nutella advent calendar?
Twenty of the 24 doors are things you eat, split across four formats of the same hazelnut-cocoa flavour: 7 mini spread portions in a winter design, 7 B-happy filled wafer bars, 4 packs of 3 Nutella Biscuits, and 2 Nutella &Go! snack pots with breadsticks. Total edible weight is 528g.
The other four doors hold things you keep: a 52-plus-2 card game, a mini-jar Christmas tree ornament, a pair of Nutella socks, and the new heart-clip photo holder. There’s also a printed prize draw on the pack for a chance at one of 1,111 Nutella Christmas jumpers.
What the contents are really worth
Ferrero doesn’t publish a content value, and I can’t put an honest figure on it: the winter mini portions and the B-happy bars aren’t sold on their own in the official shop, so there’s no unit price to add up. What I can do is the simple sum. Split the price across the calendar and each of the 24 doors works out at roughly £1.40. On weight, 528g of branded treats for around £34 is a firm price per 100g, which tells you a chunk of what you pay is for the four keepsakes, not the spread.
The door-by-door breakdown sits in the CALENDAR CONTAINS tab.
✳️ How the 2026 edition compares to last year
The eating half hasn’t moved. Same 7 B-happy bars, 7 mini portions, 4 biscuit packs and 2 &Go! pots as the 2025 box, down to the counts. The single real change is the heart-clip photo holder, a new keepsake that takes the place of one of last year’s items. Ferrero and the retailer listing don’t agree on which 2025 accessory dropped out, so I’ll leave that open rather than guess.
On price, our own records tell the fuller story. This calendar sat at £48.99 in both 2023 and 2024, then fell to £26.37 for 2025, so where it lands each year matters more than what’s in it, since the contents barely change. Worth checking the current price against those before you decide it’s a bargain.
✳️ My take on the 2026 edition
I haven’t opened this one, so this is a read off the official images and the documented line-up, not a hands-on test. On that basis, what works is honesty of format: 20 of the 24 doors are real treats, the B-happy bars, biscuits and &Go! pots are full-size, and a Nutella fan gets four ways to eat the same spread they already like.
Where it falls down is the four keepsake doors. A card game, socks, a bauble and a photo clip are pleasant enough, but they’re a sixth of the calendar and they’re the part you’re paying a premium for. If all you wanted was the spread, that’s a sixth of the box you didn’t ask for. And the flavour never varies: it’s hazelnut-cocoa, four ways, so nobody chasing the range of a mixed-chocolate calendar will find it here.
My honest summary: ‘a proper Nutella fan box, not a chocolate calendar, and worth it only if the four keepsakes count as a plus rather than filler.’ Fans of the spread will get it; anyone treating it as a straight chocolate countdown will feel short-changed on four doors.

Nutella, one jar taken apart into 24 doors
Nutella is Ferrero’s hazelnut-cocoa spread, sold under that name since 1965 and now one of the most recognised things the Italian family firm makes. The whole calendar leans on that one icon: the box is shaped like the jar, the tree ornament copies a mini jar, and every edible door is the spread in a different format.
That’s the through-line to the box itself. Where a mixed calendar gives you variety, this one gives you the same flavour four ways, which is either the point or the problem depending on why you’re buying. You can read more about the range on the Nutella site.
