Craft Gin Advent Calendar
£89.99
Behind the 24 doors of the Craft Gin Advent Calendar for 2026 sit 24 craft gins from The Curious Drinker: 23 gins and 1 gin liqueur, each a 5cl double measure, 1.2 litres in all. The spread runs from Dorset’s Conker raspberry gin and Orkney’s Sule Skerry to a Hanoi dry gin at 45%, with strengths from 26% to 45% ABV. What tips it: every one of the nine countries and their distillers is named up front, no mystery bottles. One for the gin drinker who wants to taste widely without buying full bottles.
The Curious Drinker Gin Advent Calendar 2026: 24 craft gins from nine countries
The Curious Drinker Gin Advent Calendar 2026 puts a different gin behind each of its 24 doors, every one a 5cl double measure. Twenty-three are full gins and the fifteenth is a gin liqueur, so the box runs from a juniper-led London Dry to oak-aged and fruit-forward styles in one countdown.
What sets this year’s selection apart is where the bottles come from: not just England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, but Jersey, the Faroe Islands, Italy, Australia and Vietnam. Every producer is named up front, so you know what you’re drinking each day, no mystery bottles. One for the gin drinker who wants range, not a single house style repeated 24 times.
What’s inside the Curious Drinker gin calendar?
Twenty-four 5cl bottles, which comes to 1.2 litres of spirit across the month, roughly the equivalent of 1.7 standard 70cl bottles. The split is honest and easy to read:
- 23 craft gins, from London Dry and classic dry styles to oak-aged, citrus and spiced botanicals
- 1 gin liqueur, the River Test Sloe & Damson at 26%, sweeter and lower in strength than the rest
- Strengths span 26% to 45% ABV, the Vietnamese Sông Cái Dry Gin topping the range at 45%
Every door is a double measure, enough for a proper G&T or a festive cocktail. The Curious Drinker doesn’t publish a total content value, so there’s no headline figure to lean on here. Divide the £89.99 launch price by the 24 bottles and each measure works out at about £3.75, which is fair for 5cl of independent craft gin you’d struggle to buy in miniatures.

How this year’s gin calendar compares
Sold under this slug last year was a different proposition: the Craft Gin Club calendar, closer to £90 to £95, built around the exclusive Tarquin’s Christmas Cake gin plus a handful of mystery pours you only identified on opening. For 2026 the line changes supplier to The Curious Drinker, and the maths changes with it.
The headline move is transparency. Where the old box kept several gins secret, this one names all 24 producers up front, from House of Elrick in Aberdeenshire to Micil in Galway. The format is tighter too: a flat 24 doors, 24 double measures, no 25th compartment or bonus full-size bottle. At £89.99 it lands a few pounds under last year’s asking price, and you trade the novelty of a signature exclusive for a wider, fully disclosed spread.
Our verdict on the Curious Drinker gin calendar
What wins me over first is the honesty of it. Twenty-four named distilleries, nothing hidden, is exactly how a gin calendar should read when you’re spending the best part of ninety pounds. The geography does a lot of the work: a Faroese dry gin, a Tasmanian pepperberry and mandarin, a Hanoi dry gin at 45%, sitting next to Dorset raspberry and Orkney’s Sule Skerry. The brand’s promise to take you ‘beyond the bottles you already know’ holds up.
Where I’d pause is the sameness in the middle of the list. Eighteen of the 24 sit at a flat 40% London Dry strength, so if you already drink a lot of classic gin, three-quarters of the month will feel familiar on paper. The single gin liqueur, the River Test Sloe & Damson, is the one clear change of pace, and I’d have liked one or two more. The gin drinker who wants to taste widely without committing to full bottles will get the most from it.
- Not for someone who wants big-name supermarket gins or a signature exclusive to show off
- Spot on for the curious drinker who’d rather meet nine countries’ distillers one 5cl pour at a time

The Curious Drinker, a gin specialist’s eye
The Curious Drinker builds its range around independent producers and small distilleries, the ones you won’t find on a supermarket shelf, with a selection team that picks for character over brand recognition. That buying habit is the whole reason this calendar reaches as far as Vietnam and the Faroe Islands.
It shows in the line-up: the oak-aged gin from Dà Mhìle in Ceredigion, the Victorian special edition from Hawkridge, the Camas Ùige from the Isle of Lewis. These are names you rarely meet in a mixed gin box, and finding them one door at a time is the point of this calendar. Please drink responsibly; sold to over-18s only.
