The Fortnum’s Feasting Advent Calendar 2026 arrives at £265, up from £200 last year, a £65 jump that buys you a calendar that’s been redesigned from scratch. Behind 25 doors you’ll find 26 products: 20 full size and 6 deluxe samples, spanning gin, tea, coffee, savoury condiments, biscuits and chocolate. Divide £265 by the 26 products and each one works out at roughly £10.19. Whether that’s good value is harder to say: Fortnum don’t publish a total content value, so there’s no headline figure to check against.
Add £5.95 for UK delivery (dispatched after 1 November 2026) and the real outlay comes to £270.95. The free delivery of previous seasons no longer applies.
The Fortnum & Mason approach to a feasting calendar
Fortnum & Mason was founded in 1738 on Piccadilly, and its foodhall has been the reference point for serious food lovers ever since. The Feasting Calendar reflects that heritage: several products were created specifically for this box, with larger versions sold separately in store and online.
Fortnum describe the target buyer as a ‘fervent foodie’, and the range fits: not a chocolate-only countdown but a mix you’d cook with, drink and give as a host gift, from a flavour paste and a hot sauce to two gins. Self-gifting, they note, is ‘certainly encouraged’.
What’s inside the Fortnum’s Feasting Calendar 2026
The 26 products sit behind 25 doors, one of which holds two items, and the line-up spans four registers. On the drinks side there are two Amalthea gins (Dry and Pink, 5cl each), a Chocolate Chestnut Liqueur, a ground coffee tin and three teas including Royal Blend. The savoury run brings a cranberry sauce, a hot honey and parsnip sauce, an infused olive oil, a flavour paste and mixed nuts.
The sweet, biscuits and preserves group is the largest: marmalade, Christmas fig preserve, curd, shortbread, orange and dark chocolate biscuits, Rosemary & Thyme Sablés, marzipan shapes, a honeycomb bar and chocolate hedgehogs. Fortnum’s Feasting Calendar 2026 compared to the previous edition
The 2025 edition was priced at £200. This year’s box costs £265, a £65 increase. Fortnum haven’t explained the rise publicly: the box is new (redesigned for 2026), which accounts for some of the premium, and the content has grown in ambition, but the gap is real and it won’t suit everyone’s budget.
Some elements carry over. The Amalthea gins return in both dry and pink versions, as do the Rosemary & Thyme Sablés, Royal Blend tea, and Christmas Fig Preserve. These are Fortnum’s signatures, and their presence signals editorial consistency rather than recycling. The ratio of 20 full-size products out of 26 is a clear improvement on what many luxury food calendars offer, though Fortnum don’t disclose a total content value for either edition, so the added value stays hard to pin down.
Our verdict on the Fortnum’s Feasting Advent Calendar 2026
What convinces first is the breadth. Seven drinks (including two gins and a liqueur), five savoury items and ten sweet or biscuit products gives this calendar a range most foodie calendars don’t come close to. The Fennel, Anchovy & Preserved Lemon Flavour Paste is the kind of thing you’d actually cook with in January, not abandon in a drawer.
Where it falls down is the price opacity. At £265 plus £5.95 delivery, you’re committing £270.95 without Fortnum ever telling you what the contents are worth, which limits how confidently you can call it a deal. The £65 increase on last year, without a published justification, will give pause to repeat buyers.
This isn’t the calendar for you if you’re after chocolate alone, or if a clear value statement matters to your decision. It’s worth the money if you rate the Fortnum edit above a raw price-per-product calculation, and if you know you’ll use a spice box and a flavour paste as much as a biscuit tin.
