The LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2026 (set 75456) goes all-in on The Mandalorian from day one. 293 pieces across 24 doors, up 30 pieces on last year’s set, and not a single figure or vehicle that wanders outside the Mando and Grogu universe.
The headline design detail: Mando and Grogu each wear a Christmas jumper featuring the other’s face. Complementary prints, made for the same box. It’s a small gesture, but it’s the sort of thing that separates a considered set from one that just counts to 24.

The LEGO Star Wars range has run since 1999, the brand’s oldest licence. It trades on the print quality of its minifigures and the precision of its mini-vehicles. The LEGO Builder app adds interactive 3D guidance to every door, alongside the printed booklet, a genuine help from age 6.
What’s inside the LEGO Star Wars 75456 Advent Calendar
Twenty-four doors, split into three categories. Five minifigures in festive outfits: The Mandalorian (Grogu jumper), Grogu (Mando jumper), Moff Gideon, Carson Teva, and a Jawa. Six bonus holiday-themed characters in brick-built form: IG-11, a Pit Droid, Mudhorn, Bantha, Dewback, and Blurrg. Then seven mini-vehicles: the N-1 Starfighter, Razor Crest, a speeder bike, a Sandcrawler, a TIE Fighter, an Imperial light cruiser, and a Christmas-coloured X-Wing.
Accessories round it out: three beskar tables, Moff Gideon’s gift accessories, a weapon rack, the Mandalorian’s gauntlet, and Grogu’s pram. Nothing sits there as obvious filler; every piece connects to a scene or a character from the series.
LEGO doesn’t announce a retail value for these micro-scale builds, and the pieces aren’t sold separately, so any figure would be invented. What’s measurable: divide the launch price by 24 doors and you get approximately £1.25 per door, which places 75456 at mid-range for licensed building advent calendars. LEGO Star Wars 75456 vs the 2025 edition (75418)
Last year’s set, 75418, was a droid celebration: C-3PO, BB-8, Babu Frik, and eight brick-built droids. A solid set, but tonally scattered across the Star Wars galaxy, with no unifying thread between characters.
75456 is built around a single storyline. The piece count rises from 263 to 293, the minifigure roster doubles in personality, and the Mando and Grogu matching jumper detail didn’t exist in any previous LEGO Star Wars advent set. The seven vehicles are more varied in scale than the 2025 builds, which ran heavily towards droids with minimal construction. If you own 75418, there’s no meaningful overlap here.
My verdict on the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2026
The coherence here is the point. Every door opens onto the same corner of the Star Wars universe, which gives the 24 days a genuine narrative arc, unusual for the format. The dual Christmas jumpers between Mando and Grogu are genuinely clever; I’d have been happy finding those on their own in December.
The honest caveat: seven mini-vehicles across 24 doors means seven micro-builds, and at this scale a TIE Fighter or a Sandcrawler is a handful of pieces at most, done in under three minutes. A builder who compares piece counts and build time against sets like the Harry Potter advent calendar will find the individual challenges lighter. That’s not a design fault exactly; it’s the nature of the format. But this calendar rewards the Mando fan more than it rewards the patient builder, and knowing that in advance matters.
Star Wars fans aged 6 and up, and parents buying for them, will find 24 days of builds that actually connect to something they love, with two minifigures that are worth keeping on display long after Boxing Day.
- Where it’s harder to justify: if the recipient doesn’t have an attachment to The Mandalorian specifically, the narrow focus works against you.
- Where it earns its place: the matching jumper minifigures and the 293-piece count at roughly £1.25 per door make a credible case at this price point for a licensed LEGO set.
