Lego Disney Advent Calendar 2026 (43298): four heroines, 290 pieces, and a box that turns into a board game
The Lego Disney Advent Calendar 43298 is the 2026 edition of LEGO’s Disney Princess calendar, and it changes the formula more than any version in years. Where past editions stretched one Disney universe across 24 doors, this one gives you four films and four heroines : Ariel and Sebastian from The Little Mermaid, Cinderella and Gus the mouse, Moana and Pua the pig, Mulan and Mushu the dragon. Behind 24 doors sit 290 pieces.
Young fans of these films will recognise the cast at once, and the four micro-dolls are companion figures that carry on well past December.
What changed from 2025 to 2026
Last year’s LEGO Disney 43273 was a Frozen calendar : Elsa, Anna, Olaf, 231 pieces, £29.95, with the board game as a separate insert. This year, 43298 lands at £29.99 and adds 59 pieces for essentially the same price. Four universes replace one, the separate board game disappears, and the box itself folds out into the playing surface.
Those 59 extra pieces spread across 13 confirmed mini-builds (from a piano and a gingerbread castle to a spinning dance floor and a palm tree) plus the game spinner. One fewer loose object to lose, though you do need to keep the box intact after December to replay.
What’s inside the Lego Disney 43298 Advent Calendar
The contents fall into four groups : micro-dolls, companion animals, mini-builds, and the game board system. A full breakdown of all 24 doors sits in the SPOILER tab. LEGO has not disclosed the daily order before release.
The micro-dolls are fully compatible with other LEGO Disney sets sold separately, so if your child already owns a Disney playset, these figures plug straight in. The spinning dance floor and the stage stand up as playable builds in their own right.
Value : what £1.25 per door actually buys you
LEGO communicates no estimated content value for this set, and the micro-dolls aren’t sold individually, so external valuation is impossible and I won’t invent a figure. What we can say : £29.99 across 24 doors is £1.25 per door, and £29.99 across 290 pieces is roughly £0.10 per piece, both in line with LEGO’s licensed calendars.
The piece count flatters the format, though. The real play value sits in the 8 named characters and two or three standout builds; a fair share of the rest goes on small accessories and the spinner. At the same RRP, a LEGO Star Wars or City calendar offers minifigures and denser builds. You’re choosing the Disney licence and the four-heroine cast over raw brick count. For a child aged 5+ who plays with these characters, that trade is worth it; for a household with no Disney connection, the alternatives give more build per pound.
My verdict on the Lego Disney 43298 Advent Calendar 2026
Four films for one price is a genuinely better proposition for a mixed household. Ariel, Cinderella, Moana and Mulan cover a broad enough range that siblings rarely all shrug, and 290 pieces at a near-identical price to 2025’s 231 is real progress.
Two honest reservations. The box-as-game-board works for ages 5 and 6, who replay with what they built; for the 8 to 10s who build to display, that board will likely never be unfolded. The 2025 edition gave a ready-to-play board game, this one asks you to flip a cardboard box. And with no communicated content value, you’re buying on licence trust rather than a measurable figure, which is fine as long as you know it going in.
‘Four heroines, four named animal companions and 290 pieces at last year’s price: for a 5-year-old Disney fan, this is the obvious pick in the LEGO range this season.’
- Who will love it : children aged 5 to 8 who play with Disney characters, enjoy simple builds and will use the figures after December.
- Who might not : older builders (9+) after piece complexity, households with no Disney connection, and anyone wanting a communicated content value to compare against other calendars.

When is the Lego Disney (43298) Advent Calendar 2026 released ?
This calendar is available from 1 September 2026, stocked by LEGO’s own Shop GB from launch and by the usual retail partners. LEGO advent calendars tend to sell out in the weeks before December, so ordering on or shortly after the September date is worth considering. LEGO has held the Disney licence since 2014, and its micro-doll figures are compatible across the range, so these dolls can extend scenes from other sets. Find the full selection on the LEGO brand page.
