Catrice Advent Calendar 2026 : 24 makeup products, the ‘House Of Gold’ edition
The Catrice Advent Calendar 2026 arrives under a new name: ‘House Of Gold’. The packaging takes the shape of a golden city house, decorated with a red bow and a small Christmas tree on the door. Behind each of its 24 doors sits a full-size makeup product created exclusively for this edition. One product, the mascara, comes in a travel size. Everything else is full size, which puts it well above the usual standard for a calendar at this price point.
The split across categories is what stands out most. Lips dominate, with 7 products out of 24: a Gold Flakes Lip Gloss, Juicy Lip Oil, Lip Liner, Lip Mask, Lip Patches, a Peptide Lip Tint and a Swirl Lip Gloss. Eyes take 6 slots (Eye Patches, an Eye Pencil, an Eyeshadow Palette, a mini Glam & Doll Volume Mascara, a Jelly Eyeshadow Stick and an Eyeshadow Brush). Face and complexion account for another 6: Duo Blush, Duo Highlighter, Highlighter Brush, Highlighter Glow Drops, Lip & Cheek Stick and a Mattifying Gel To Powder. Nails get 2 polishes, and the remaining 2 spots go to hair accessories (a Hair Clip Duo and a Hair Scrunchie), plus 1 Fragrance Mist.
Seven lip products in a single calendar is rare at under £40. Makeup buyers who use gloss, lip oil and lip liner regularly could work through all seven over the festive month without doubling up on anything.
What Catrice puts in the box
Twenty-three products are full size. The only exception is the Glam & Doll Volume Mascara, which comes in a mini format, worth knowing if mascara is a priority for you. The two included brushes (an Eyeshadow Brush and a Highlighter Brush) add real utility: they’re not filler, they’re functional tools you’d use with the palette and the highlighter that come in the same box.
All 24 products are exclusive to this edition and are not available separately. None are miniature samples. Catrice does not publish an official retail value for the 2026 calendar; working from equivalent products in the Catrice range sold at UK retailers, the contents come to roughly £85 to £95 in comparable individual purchases, so around double what you would pay at the till. On that basis, each of the 24 products works out at little more than the price of a single Catrice item bought on its own, which is low even by the brand’s own standards.

✳️ ‘House Of Gold’ 2026 versus ‘Twinkling Treasures’ 2025
Last year’s Catrice calendar was called ‘Twinkling Treasures’ and came in a reusable makeup pouch: the Gatsby-inspired soft case had a practical second life as a travel bag once December was over. That’s gone in 2026. The House Of Gold packaging is a rigid cardboard structure, decorative and quite striking on a shelf, but it won’t hold your brushes in January. If the reusable pouch was part of your reason to buy last year, that’s a genuine change to factor in.
The category balance has also shifted. The 2025 edition leaned more heavily on eyes and included three nail polishes; the 2026 version drops to two and redirects that space into lips. New in 2026: Eye Patches and Lip Patches, a Fragrance Mist, and two hair accessories (Hair Clip Duo and Hair Scrunchie) that didn’t feature last year. These additions make the 2026 calendar broader in scope, even if it’s less focused on any single category.
The price has moved too. Last year’s calendar was priced at £49.99; the 2026 edition launches noticeably cheaper despite covering more product categories, a shift in the buyer’s favour that’s uncommon in the advent calendar market.
✳️ My verdict on the Catrice Advent Calendar 2026
What convinces first is the honesty of the contents. Twenty-three full-size products and only one mini: that’s not a given in this price bracket, where it’s easy to pad a calendar with samples and travel sizes to keep costs down. Catrice hasn’t done that. The brushes are a good call too, two functional tools that most people would actually buy.
The lip focus is either the best or the worst thing about this calendar, depending on who you are. Seven lip products for someone who uses them daily is a genuine bounty: you won’t run out of variety before Christmas. For someone who doesn’t wear lip colour much, it’s a lot of shelf space for products that might sit unused.
Where I’d pause is the packaging. The golden house is eye-catching, but once December’s over it becomes a large cardboard box with no obvious second use. That’s a real step back from the 2025 pouch, which at least earned its keep as a travel bag afterwards. The 2025 ‘Twinkling Treasures’ remains the stronger buy if you wanted the pouch; the 2026 version wins on price and on the breadth of its lip and patch line-up.
- If you use lip products daily and want a cruelty-free makeup calendar under £40, this is one of the best-value options this season.
- If you were hoping for three nail polishes, a reusable case, or more eye than lip content, the 2025 edition served you better.
The spirit of Catrice
Catrice was founded in Germany in 2004 as an affordable alternative to the mid-market beauty brands that dominated drugstore shelves at the time. The brand is now present in more than 40 countries and holds PETA cruelty-free certification; its formulas are made without microplastics and a large share of the range is vegan-certified. It’s not a niche name: you’ll find it at Notino, Lyko and Boozyshop in the UK, and it’s a regular presence in European pharmacy chains.
The calendar is a fair expression of what Catrice does well: a broad range of products, accessible pricing, and no compromise on core quality. It’s the same logic that built the brand in the first place.

Catrice Advent Calendar Release Date
The 2026 Catrice ‘House Of Gold’ calendar is expected to reach Notino UK, Boozyshop and Lyko, as well as Amazon, ahead of the Christmas season. Availability usually builds from October. Catrice editions tend to sell out fast in season, so it’s worth comparing retailers as soon as it lands.
