My view on the Love Cocoa Advent Calendar 2026

What I like here is that it does one thing and does it properly. Twenty-three truffles and a mini bar, no padding, and the plastic-free packaging is a genuine point in its favour rather than a sticker on the front. The Giant Hazelnut Crunch is the pick of the four.

What might put some people off: it is truffles and little else. As Love Cocoa itself puts it, these are ‘rich and creamy’ chocolates, so if you want variety of format rather than variety of flavour, a mixed calendar will suit you better. Fans of its signature chocolate bars get only the single mini bar.

Keen home bakers and anyone who already buys Love Cocoa bars will happily open a truffle a morning; it is a tidy stocking filler for a grown-up chocolate lover, less so for a child after cartoon packaging.
