The NYX ‘Bling the Halls’ Advent Calendar 2026, also sold as the Bling Box, drops the film licence and swaps the previous Home Alone tie-in for a red octagonal case dressed like a jewellery box, studded with fake red and green gems. Behind its 24 doors sit 24 full-size products, one per day, and not a single sample or miniature.
It is, plainly, a lip festival. Butter Gloss, Fat Oil Lip Drip, matte lip creams and lipsticks make up the bulk of the box, with a couple of blushers and two eye pieces. This is a box for people who live in lip products, not one with a balanced spread across face, eyes and lips.
What’s inside the NYX Bling Box?
Twenty-four products, 19 of them lip. The count breaks down as 19 lip items, 1 tinted lip treatment, 2 eye products and 2 blushers. The lip side stacks up 6 Butter Gloss (the NYX best-seller that went viral on TikTok), 3 Fat Oil Lip Drip, 3 Smooth Whip Matte Lip Cream, 3 Soft Matte Lip Cream, 2 Fat Matte lipsticks and 2 Slick Click Fat Oil lip balms.
The Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint is exclusive to this calendar, not sold on its own, and you get two of them. There’s also a Smushy SOS Hydrating Tinted Lip Mask, a Lid Lingerie Matte Eye Tint, and the Ultimate Edit Petite Shadow Palette for the eyes.
What the contents are really worth
NYX puts the value at over £190 worth of product. That is the brand’s own claim, and I have not re-costed it at UK retail. What I can say is that every one of the 24 is full-size, so the arithmetic is honest: cost the Butter Gloss, the Fat Oil Lip Drips and the matte lipsticks at their shelf price and the total climbs well past what the box asks.
The launch price shown at the top of this page is the number to weigh it against. NYX sits squarely in the accessible, mid-range bracket, so this is a stack of real, usable makeup at the price you’d expect from NYX, with no £300 luxury padding of 5ml vials.

How the 2026 edition compares with the previous one
The 2024 box was the Home Alone tie-in: same principle, 24 full-size products, but wrapped in a film licence and pitched at £116 with a NYX-stated value of £204. For 2026 the film is gone. In its place: the red jewel-box case, a lower launch price, and a stated value that eases back to over £190 from £204.
The previous box leaned on lips, and so does this one, with Butter Gloss and the Fat Oil range doing the heavy lifting. The new bits are the exclusive Sweet Cheeks blushers, the Smushy SOS lip mask and the Lid Lingerie eye tint.
My verdict on the 2026 edition
What wins me over first is that all 24 are full-size. Open a Butter Gloss or a Fat Oil Lip Drip and it’s the real thing, a genuinely good product at any price.
Where it falls down is the balance. Nineteen of the 24 are lip. Two eye pieces and two blushers do not make this a face-and-eyes box, and anyone hoping for skincare, mascara or foundation will be disappointed. Fans of the Fat Oil range will be delighted; anyone after variety across their whole makeup bag should look elsewhere.
So my line on it is this: ‘it’s an unashamed lip festival, and at NYX money the value holds up easily, as long as you actually wear this much lip product.’
