Tony’s Advent Calendar
£12.50
The Tony’s Advent Calendar 2026 packs 24 tiny bars behind its 24 doors, spread across 11 flavours, from plain Dark, Milk and White to Caramel, Sea Salt, Pretzels and Freeze-Dried Raspberries. That’s 225g of Belgian Fairtrade chocolate, and every bar backs the brand’s push for 100% slave-free chocolate. A grown-up countdown for chocolate lovers who want a daily treat with a conscience behind it.
Tony’s Advent Calendar 2026: 24 tiny bars across 11 flavours
The Tony’s Advent Calendar 2026 lines up 24 tiny bars behind its 24 doors, one for each day of the countdown. It holds 225g of Belgian Fairtrade chocolate in total, and it is the same box Tony’s Chocolonely has run for the past few seasons, carried over unchanged for 2026.
What sets it apart from a standard chocolate calendar is the point behind it: every bar supports the brand’s mission for 100% slave-free chocolate. It is a grown-up box, not a kids’ one, and it leans on the brand’s trademark chunky, uneven bars instead of moulded festive shapes.
What’s inside the Tony’s Advent Calendar?
Twenty-four tiny bars, and nothing else: no toys, no figures, no gimmicks. They are drawn from 11 flavours, which is a genuine spread for a chocolate calendar this size. You get the three plains (Dark, Milk and White) alongside Almonds, Hazelnuts, Nougat, Sea Salt, Caramel, Pretzels, Freeze-Dried Raspberries and Crinkle Sugar.
With 24 bars across 11 flavours, some repeat over the month, but the variety is wide enough that the box never turns into the same bar twice in a row. Weight tells the value story here: 225g for £12.50 works out at about £5.56 per 100g, which is fair for Fairtrade chocolate of this grade, and roughly £0.52 a bar. The content value itself is not disclosed by the brand.

How it compares to last year
This is a straight carry-over: same box, same 24 bars, same 11 flavours, same 225g as last year. Nothing in the chocolate has changed. The one thing that has moved is the price: it is now £12.50, down from £15.00 last year, a £2.50 drop that makes the per-100g figure noticeably kinder than the year before.
My verdict on the Tony’s Advent Calendar 2026
What wins me over is the honesty of the thing: 24 bars, 11 flavours, a weight printed on the box, and no filler dressed up as a surprise. The flavours that pull their weight are the ones you cannot get in a supermarket multipack, Pretzels and Freeze-Dried Raspberries especially.
Where it asks for a bit of faith is the ethics-first pitch. If you just want the cheapest chocolate per gram, this is not it; you are partly paying for the slave-free supply chain, and that is the point of the brand. As I put it after going through the box, ‘you are buying a cause with your chocolate, and Tony’s never pretends otherwise’. At the new £12.50, the maths finally sits comfortably with the mission. Chocolate fans who care where their cocoa comes from will enjoy working through the eleven flavours one door at a time.
About Tony’s Chocolonely
Tony’s Chocolonely started in the Netherlands in 2005, launched by a journalist who wanted to prove that chocolate could be made without exploitation in the cocoa trade. The uneven, deliberately unequal chunks of its bars are a design choice, a reminder that the cocoa industry is not shared out fairly.
That mission runs straight through this calendar: the bars behind the 24 doors are the same ones the brand sells year-round, Fairtrade sourced and built around its 100% slave-free goal. It is the rare chocolate countdown where the story on the wrapper is the reason to buy.
