The Jo Malone London Advent Calendar 2026 hides 25 products behind 25 numbered doors, and this year the box is the point as much as what’s inside it. Jo Malone calls it the ‘Christmas Kist’: a domed, cream-lacquered chest with a black trim that stands upright and works as the calendar itself. Behind each door sit crackers, ornaments and small midnight-blue tartan stockings, with a fragrance, a wash or a candle tucked inside.
It’s a fragrance advent calendar first: 13 of the 25 doors are colognes, including five Cologne Intense concentrations. The rest splits into 9 bath and body products and 3 scented candles. The split matters more than the headcount. 13 fragrances lead the box, twelve of them 9ml deluxe minis and five of those the stronger Cologne Intense: Myrrh & Tonka, Scarlet Poppy, Cypress & Grapevine, Amber Labdanum and Oud & Bergamot. Alongside them run classics you can already picture on a shelf, Lime Basil & Mandarin, Wood Sage & Sea Salt, English Pear & Freesia.
Nine bath and body products fill out the middle of the box, from 100ml washes to 50ml body crèmes, and three full-size 65g travel candles (Ginger Biscuit, Pine & Eucalyptus, Cypress & Grapevine) are the only pieces that aren’t miniatures on the beauty side. The finale on Day 25 is a Tangerine & Honey Cologne 30ml, the one near full-size fragrance in the whole calendar.
Jo Malone puts the retail worth at £595. We priced the products one by one against jomalone.co.uk and land lower, at a content worth over £500, roughly 13 per cent under the brand’s figure. Against what you pay, that’s still about 1.38 times the price, or close to £15 a door. The honest read: the number is real, it just isn’t quite the £595 on the tin.

What changed from the 2025 edition
Last year’s calendar was a townhouse chest, a flat-fronted drawer commode at £360. For 2026 the shape shifts to the domed, tartan-trimmed kist, and the price steps up to £375. It’s a £15 rise, and the brand’s stated worth has jumped from the low £500s to £595, which is where our own count and the marketing figure part ways.
The contents move with it. Wood Sage & Sea Salt and English Pear & Freesia return, as they tend to. The genuinely new note is a Cypress & Grapevine Hair & Body Wash, the first time this calendar reaches past skin into haircare. What’s gone is the Vitamin E Lip Conditioner that filled a door in 2025. Still 25 doors, still fragrance-led, just housed in an object that asks to be kept.
Who it suits, and the premium it asks
This is a luxury advent calendar aimed at adults who take scent seriously, and it reads best as a gift for a perfume lover or as a serious treat to yourself. The logic is discovery: twelve of the fragrances are 9ml minis made for testing and travel, one 30ml cologne on Day 25 is the keeper, and the three 65g candles burn like anything you’d buy full price.
The catch is the premium positioning. At this level you’re paying for the kist and the ritual as much as the millilitres, so anyone who just wants a wall of usable full-size product will feel short-changed. Someone chasing a Jo Malone signature to commit to, though, will find 13 scents to try before buying the 100ml. That’s the trade this box makes.
