The John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 arrives bigger than any previous edition. 41 products across 25 drawers, a declared brand value of £1,160, and a first in the range’s history: beauty tech, in the shape of a FOREO UFO 3 Mini worth £129. Priced at £250, it holds over £900 of net value by the brand’s own reckoning. John Lewis doesn’t usually lead with tech. This year it does, and that changes the conversation.
The box itself is hand-painted and designed to work as a reusable beauty storage piece after Christmas. Practical rather than purely decorative, which is a sensible call at this price point.
What’s inside: skincare, make-up, fragrance, hair and now tech
The 2026 edit spans the full spectrum of a luxury beauty advent calendar: skincare from La Mer, Sisley and Medik8; make-up from Charlotte Tilbury, Fenty Beauty and Laura Mercier; fragrance from Gucci, Versace and Lumière d’Issey; hair from Aveda and Philip Kingsley; body from L’OCCITANE and Molton Brown. And the FOREO UFO 3 Mini sitting in one of those 25 drawers, which no other department store calendar this year can claim.
Of the 41 products, 23 are full-size and 18 are deluxe miniatures. That’s 56% full-size, well above the industry average for a multi-brand beauty advent calendar in this bracket. Ten of the drawers contain more than one product, which is how the tally reaches 41 across 25 openings.
John Lewis officially labels 21 of these as full size; we count two more complete items, the single-use FOREO UFO Mask and the 70g Jo Loves candle, as full products, which brings the practical full-size tally to 23.

Who is the John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 for?
This is a skincare and makeup advent calendar built for adults who already have a beauty routine and want to supplement it with genuinely useful products, not an introductory sampling kit. The 23 full-size items mean you’re getting things you’ll actually finish, not a shelf of 5ml curiosities. That said, 18 of the 41 items are deluxe miniatures, so a genuine share of the value sits in discovery sizes rather than full products; and until the calendar actually ships in September, we can’t give a hands-on verdict on how those formats perform.
It suits the beauty lover who shops across categories: someone who cares about a Charlotte Tilbury concealer AND a Medik8 serum AND a Gucci fragrance, and doesn’t want to choose between them for Christmas. The FOREO device tips it further towards those with an interest in skin tools and tech.

This 2026 edition vs last year
The 2025 John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar had 36 products worth £1,095, priced at £235, with 21 full-size items. By every headline number, 2026 is the bigger edition: 5 more products, £65 more in declared value, 2 additional full-size items.
The more significant shift is qualitative. The 2025 edition included Le Labo and KILIAN, two brands that don’t appear in the 2026 line-up. In return, Skin Rocks joins for the first time, alongside a returning core of Charlotte Tilbury, Fenty Beauty, ELEMIS, Medik8 and Estée Lauder. Sol de Janeiro, present in 2025, is also out this year.
The biggest structural change is the FOREO UFO 3 Mini. Previous John Lewis beauty calendars have never included beauty tech of this kind. A device worth £129 in a £250 calendar shifts the maths considerably, and it’s the clearest sign yet that John Lewis is trying to give its annual calendar a genuine differentiator rather than a straight edit of products you could assemble yourself.

John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 release date
John Lewis has announced a staggered release for the 2026 calendar. MyJL Beauty members can preorder from 3 August 2026 via the John Lewis app. Preorders begin shipping from 3 September 2026. General sale opens 7 September 2026 to everyone.
Based on the track record of this range, stock doesn’t last long once the general sale begins. If you have a MyJL Beauty account, the 3 August window is worth using. If you don’t, the 7 September date is your next best option, and acting early tends to pay off with this one.
