Open the doors and the contents live up to the premise. 24 products, split between 14 skincare and 10 makeup, with 12 full-size items this year, which is the number that really matters.
Divide the launch price by 24 cases and you’re at roughly £3.96 per product. That on its own doesn’t say much. What matters is what’s on the other side of those 24 doors: serums and moisturisers that retail individually for considerably more.
The Lumene way: Nordic-sourced, 100% vegan, cruelty-free
Lumene is a Finnish beauty brand built around the Nordic landscape, specifically around Arctic plants, spring water and cloudberry extracts. Every product in the 2026 calendar is 100% vegan and certified cruelty-free, which is the brand’s non-negotiable baseline across its entire range, not a line added for the advent calendar.
The brand’s Nordic-C [Valo] line is its signature range, built around vitamin C derivatives, and it’s well represented here: five products from that single line alone. The rest of the skincare draws from Nordic Hydra [Lähde] (six products), Nordic Sensitive [Herkkä] (a single Weightless Serum) and Nordic Bloom [Lumo] (a collagen essence and a moisturiser).

What’s inside: skincare depth, makeup colour, serious value
The skincare side is Nordic-C heavy: Glow Boost Essence, Glow Moisturizer, Glow Renew Night Cream, Glow Boost Eye Serum and Exfoliating Gel Cleanser. Nordic Sensitive adds a single Weightless Serum, while Nordic Bloom brings a Vegan Collagen Essence and a Bounce Moisturizer.
The makeup side has grown in 2026: 10 pieces, up from eight last year. Two are genuine limited editions exclusive to this box: the Lip Glow Oil Balm ‘Hot Chocolate’ and the Natural Glow Skin Tone Perfector ‘Sugar Blush’. The rest includes the Invisible Illumination Liquid Blush, a Volume Mascara, an Eyeshadow Primer and the Dewy Glow Setting Spray.
Estimated value: well over £230, based on individual retail prices of comparable Lumene products across UK stockists. That makes the £95 launch price look strong: the contents are worth roughly 2.5 times what you pay for the box.
How the 2026 edition compares to last year
The previous edition ran to 13 skincare, 8 makeup and 3 haircare products, all in miniature travel formats. Not a single full-size piece.
The 2026 version changes the equation in three ways. First, the 3 haircare products are gone. Second, makeup grows from 8 to 10 pieces, with two limited editions that hadn’t appeared before. Third, and most significantly, full-size formats jump from zero to 12, which pulls the estimated value of the box substantially higher.
The trade-off is clear: less breadth (haircare out), more depth and generosity (more makeup, more full-size).
Our verdict on the Lumene Advent Calendar 2026
The maths is convincing: well over £230 of products for £95, with the bulk of the value sitting in skincare lines that sell well above their miniature equivalents. The Nordic-C [Valo] range alone accounts for five products.
What I find most honest about this calendar is that the theme isn’t decorative: the Nordic connection runs through every formula inside. The main caveat is the complete removal of haircare, a deliberate choice that skincare-first shoppers won’t mind but hair fans will. For the price, it stays one of the strongest-value beauty advent calendars of the season.
