Cath Kidston Advent Calendar 2026: 24 vegan bath and body treats in a fold-out theatre
The Cath Kidston Advent Calendar 2026 is the Nutcracker Theatre edition, and the box is the headline act. Open all 24 doors and the calendar unfolds into a cardboard theatre, curtains drawn back, Christmas trees and a ‘Joy Makers’ banner above the stage, with a ballerina, Father Christmas and the nutcracker himself appearing as you go. Each door you open stays standing, so by Christmas Eve you have a little illustrated set rather than an empty tray.
Behind the staging sit 24 vegan bath and body treats, one per day, all in travel and mini sizes, enriched with shea butter and essential oils. It is a mid-range, affordable beauty calendar aimed at anyone who likes a daily pamper without the price tag of the department-store boxes.
What is inside the Cath Kidston beauty advent calendar 2026?
Twenty-four products, and no filler objects: this is a pure bath and body line-up. Hands take the lion’s share with nine items, from a 50ml hand cream down to five 30ml hand creams and two cuticle creams. Body follows with seven (scrub, lotions, sprays, washes), then lips with four 10ml balms, and a bath-and-soap corner of four (one bath fizzer, three scented soaps).
The scents rotate through nine Cath Kidston fragrances, which is the detail that keeps a 24-day countdown from feeling repetitive: Red Berry & Cedar, Orange Blossom, Fresh Linen, Fruit Basket, Woven Flowers, Bring Me Flowers, White Musk, Yuzu & Sage and Pistachio Ice. The calendar is designed in England, with recycled-plastic and recyclable-card packaging from sustainably managed forests.
What the contents are worth
Cath Kidston puts the contents at £80. That is the brand’s own figure, which I’ve not been able to check piece by piece, and it matters that every one of the 24 is a travel or mini size: there is not a single full-size product in the box. Taken at face value, £80 of treats is close to twice what the calendar costs, which is a healthy margin for the category.
Put the other way round, divide the launch price across the 24 doors and each product lands at about £1.88. For minis of a high-street bath and body range, that is a fair unit cost. The honest way to see this calendar is as 24 small daily treats you work through during December.

This year’s edition versus last year’s
The 2025 calendar was ‘A Doll’s House’: a pop-up box that opened out into a traditional family board game, with 23 vegan beauty treats plus a game set (a 52-card deck and 2 dice) and the brand’s characters Stanley, Biggie, Reggie and May. It was a two-things-in-one idea, half beauty box, half activity.
For 2026 the brand drops the board game and goes back to a 100% beauty format of 24 products, swapping the games board for the fold-out Nutcracker Theatre and now stating an £80 content value. Everything else holds steady: still vegan, still cruelty free, still designed in England. If last year’s game left your family cold, this is the cleaner proposition; if the game was the draw, note that it has gone.
My verdict on the Cath Kidston Advent Calendar 2026
What wins you over first is the theatre itself. Most beauty calendars give you a tray you bin on 25 December; this one leaves a standing illustrated scene with characters that reveal as you open, and for a £45 box that is a genuine point of difference. The scent spread across nine fragrances is the other quiet strength, it keeps 24 small products from blurring into one.
Where it gives ground is format. Not one of the 24 is full size, and the £80 value is the brand’s own claim, one I can’t verify product by product, so treat it as a guide, not a guarantee. This is a box of small daily treats.
My take is simple: ‘as an affordable, pretty daily ritual it does its job, as long as you’re not expecting full-size value behind the curtain’. Anyone buying for the staging and the nine scents will be happy; anyone chasing full-size skincare should look elsewhere.

The Cath Kidston spirit, English prints made for the home
Cath Kidston built its name on floral and vintage-inspired prints, the kind that ran across oilcloth bags, mugs and bedding long before they reached a bath and body range. That cheerful, domestic look is the register the Nutcracker Theatre plays in, and it explains why this calendar leans so hard on its fold-out staging and illustrated characters: the box is the point as much as the contents.
