Orelia Advent Calendar
£120.00
The Orelia Advent Calendar is the British brand’s first, and it is built around one idea: earrings you layer into your own ear stack. Behind the 25 doors sit 10 pairs and 6 single studs, so 6 pairs of hoops, 4 pairs of studs and 6 mix-and-match singles, from pavé huggies set with crystal to star, moon and lightning-bolt charms. Orelia values the set at a stated worth of £244, and you pick gold-plated or silver-plated at the same price. One honest catch: these are for pierced ears only and can’t be sent back unless faulty. It’s a jewellery advent calendar for a grown woman who already stacks.
Orelia Advent Calendar 2026: 25 doors of earrings built for ear stacking, gold or silver
The Orelia Advent Calendar 2026 is the British brand’s first, and it takes a route almost no other jewellery box has: behind the 25 doors sit 10 pairs and 6 single studs, and the whole set is designed to be worn together as an ear stack, from small huggie hoops and pavé hoops set with crystal to stud and charm styles in stars, hearts, a crescent moon and a lightning bolt.
You choose your finish up front: gold-plated or silver-plated, same contents, same price. The singles are the point of the thing, six studs meant to be mixed across both lobes rather than worn as a tidy matching pair.
What’s inside the Orelia ear stacking advent calendar?
Earrings behind every one of the 25 doors, and nothing else: no bracelet, no necklace, no filler charm you’ll never clip on. The split Orelia gives is 6 pairs of hoops, 4 pairs of studs and 6 single studs, so the hoops carry the box. Styles run across huggie hoops, crystal-set pavé hoops and studs in the cosmic range the brand leans on, north star, starburst, heart, moon and lightning bolt, plus a few charm drops.
The studs measure roughly 4mm to 7mm and the hoops are small huggies, so fit varies and these sit close to the lobe rather than dangling. Composition is 48% recycled brass, 38% crystal glass stone and 14% brass, plated in gold or silver. The door-by-door list sits in the SPOILER tab.
A first advent calendar: what Orelia is actually offering for the money
There’s no previous Orelia edition to measure this against, so the honest comparison is the box against itself. Orelia puts a stated worth of £244 on the set, against a launch price of £120, so on the brand’s own figure you’re paying a little under half what the pieces are said to be worth.
Both figures carry a caveat. The pieces aren’t sold individually on the Orelia site, so the £244 is the brand’s own number and nobody outside Orelia can price-check it door by door. Against the demi-fine jewellery calendars landing around and above £150 this season, £120 for a 25-door set of wearable earrings reads as sensibly priced rather than a headline bargain.
My verdict on the Orelia 25 Days of Ear Stacking Advent Calendar
What wins me over is that the contents are things you’ll actually wear in January. Earring stacks have been the one piercing trend that stuck, and six loose singles plus a shelf of huggies is exactly how you build one. Nothing here is a novelty you open once and drop in a drawer.
Where it loses me is the small print, and it’s worth saying plainly: these are for pierced ears only, so a woman with one piercing or none gets far less out of the box, and because they’re jewellery for piercings they can’t be returned unless faulty. You’re buying unseen with no safety net. The plating also needs care, keep it away from perfume and water or it’ll dull. As Orelia frames it, ‘earrings and piercing jewellery are non-returnable unless faulty’, which is the line to read twice before you buy this as a gift.
For the right person this is a lovely idea; for the wrong ears it’s an expensive miss.
Gold or silver, and who should pick which
The two colourways are identical in contents and price, so the choice is purely about what the wearer already owns. Pick gold-plated for warmer skin tones and anyone whose existing studs are yellow-gold; pick silver-plated for cooler tones or a mix of steel and white-metal piercings. Because the whole point is stacking, matching the finish to the hardware already in the ear matters more than usual. Jewellery lovers who already stack will know their finish instantly; if you’re buying blind for someone else, silver is the safer guess.
