At roughly £2.40 a pair you’re paying a modest premium over a loose multipack for the countdown and the box, which feels right for a gift and steep if you only wanted socks. As I’d put it: ‘it’s a sock drawer refill dressed up as a countdown, and that’s no bad thing if socks are what the recipient actually needs’.
