Full-size prices on the brand’s UK site run from £56 for a Les Exclusives candle to £95 for a Sacred Trees one; the calendar holds mini versions, so those figures come down, but the candle half alone still does the heavy lifting. On a cautious reading, the twenty-four items are worth over £800, close to double the £461 asking price. That is a conversion held deliberately low, not a pound-by-pound receipt: several minis aren’t sold on their own, so we’ve anchored to the full-size prices and the same ratio our French test found on the identical products.

From hot-air balloons to a mountain trunk: what’s new this year

Two things move. First the look: last year’s Jules Verne hot-air balloons and round-the-world theme give way to a travel trunk built around the mountains, snow medallions and a fireside-at-the-foot-of-the-peaks mood. Second, and more to the point, the candles go up a class. The previous edition drew entirely on the My First Baobab line, twelve scented destinations from Paris to Rio. This year the prestige ranges arrive: Les Exclusives, Sacred Trees and Likaah now sit next to the entry-level scents.

The care side widens too. Where last year offered only six hand creams and six soaps, this box adds room mists and shower gels alongside them. And for the first time the contents are generous enough to put a real number on, which wasn’t true before.

My verdict on the Baobab Collection Advent Calendar 2026

You’re paying for a book-box worth keeping and a genuine armful of signed candles, not a tray of forgettable miniatures. That’s the honest way to read this one. The move to Les Exclusives and Sacred Trees is what pulls the value up: a single Sacred Trees candle is a £95 object at full size, and five of them sit in here in mini form.

Where it wobbles is the care half. Three 10ml shower gels and three soaps feel like padding next to the candles, and the price is steep with no discount code to soften it. If you came for a beauty routine, this isn’t your box.

After weighing it up, my summary is one line: ‘Baobab has stopped selling a novelty and started selling its actual catalogue in miniature, which is exactly what makes £461 defensible here.’ Divide the launch price by the 24 doors and each one lands at roughly £19. For anyone who already burns Baobab, that’s a fair way in.
