Diptyque Advent Calendar 2026: 25 scented treasures in an enchanted forest
The Diptyque Advent Calendar 2026 puts 25 products behind 25 drawers, one a day, in a night-blue toolbox with gilded clasps and wooden creatures scampering across the front. This is the house’s Enchanted Forest, drawn with the artist Jean-Simon Roch, and it replaces last year’s gold-and-wax storybook completely. What’s inside is a proper cross-section of the range: 9 scented candles, 6 eaux de parfum, 5 body and hand products, a solid perfume, a hair mist, a soap, a room spray and a decoration set.
It is one of the more generous fragrance advent calendars at this level, reaching past pure fragrance into candles and daily skincare. It suits someone who already knows Baies from Feu de Bois.
What is inside the Diptyque advent calendar 2026?
The 25 doors break down like this:
- 9 candles, from a 70g Sapin limited edition down to eight 35g minis
- 6 eaux de parfum, two of them 10ml (Bois Corsé, Lazulio), four at 7.5ml
- 5 body and hand products in 30ml to 50ml sizes
- a 3g refillable solid perfume, a 30ml Do Son hair mist, a 25g soap, a 10ml room spray and a decoration set
As a perfume advent calendar it leans on the six eaux de parfum, but most pieces are the travel and discovery sizes, well below the full 190g candles and 75ml bottles Diptyque sells on the shelf, so read this as a tour of the house you sample day by day. Diptyque doesn’t publish a content value, so we priced it ourselves against the official UK prices, prorating the minis by weight and millilitre. Our count lands at around £480 at the low, verifiable end and closer to £517. That puts the contents above the asking price, roughly 14% to 23% more, which is rare at the luxury end of beauty where the box usually costs more than what’s in it. Split the price across the 25 doors and each one works out at about £16.80.
The door-by-door breakdown sits in the SPOILER tab.
Our verdict on the 2026 edition
What convinces first is that the maths finally favours the buyer. A £420 box holding £480 or more of product is not something you say often about a house at this price, and the range on show is real: candles, six fragrances including the new Café and Rhubarbe, body care, a soap, even a basil room spray from La Droguerie. Anyone who lives with Diptyque already will recognise the run of Baies, Feu de Bois, Tam Dao and Philosykos.
Where it gives me pause is the format. Six of the candles are 35g, the fragrances are mostly 7.5ml, and if you were hoping to burn a full 190g Baies through December you’ll be rationing a small one instead. As I’d put it: ‘you’re buying breadth, not a shelf of full bottles, and that only lands if discovery is the point.’ The asking price also holds firm, with no discovery-size discount, so the value sits in the contents rather than in any deal.
Who is this for?
This is a premium, gift-grade calendar for the fragrance and candle devotee. As a luxury advent calendar it works just as well for men who burn scented candles as it does as an advent calendar for women who already wear Do Son or Eau Rose. The keepsake toolbox is designed to be kept and refilled, so part of what you’re paying for outlives December.
How the 2026 edition compares to last year
The 2025 calendar was ‘A Night of Wax and Gold’, a gold-detailed Parisian storybook drawn with the illustrator Lucy Sparrow, priced at £399. The 2026 edition keeps the shape, 25 products across 25 doors mixing generous and discovery sizes, but changes almost everything else: a night-blue craftsman’s toolbox with removable drawers instead of a book, four scents that weren’t there before (Café, Rhubarbe, Lazulio, Bois Corsé), and a £21 rise to £420.
Diptyque, a Paris candle house since 1961
Diptyque opened in 1961 at 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain, started by three artist friends, and lit its first scented candle in 1963. Baies, its blackcurrant-and-rose candle, is still the scent most people meet the house through, which is why a calendar that leads with candles feels true to what Diptyque actually is.
That heritage is the reason the 9 candles here carry the box, and it explains why this reads as much as a candle advent calendar as a fragrance one. You can read more on the official Diptyque site, but the short version is that the fragrances and the wax are the same ones the maison built its name on.
